Renowned for his exceptional ability to dissect tough and intricate positions over the board, Seewald has earned a reputation as a master strategist and a formidable opponent.

His accolades include being a finalist in prestigious tournaments such as the 2014 CA State Super Jackpot and the Texas Championship, as well as emerging victorious in events like the 2014 USBGF National Championship, the 2015 Texas Alamo Classic, the 2016 CO State Masters and in the 2016 Texas Alamo Classic.

Seewald’s dominance continued unabated, securing victories such as the CO State Continental Divide in 2018 and the prestigious Texas Championship in 2019. Noteworthy accolades include reaching the finals of the CO Iron Horse Master’s and CO Gunslinger Open in the same year. His formidable presence was felt at the 2020 LV Championship, where he emerged as a finalist, and his triumphs continued into 2021 with a resounding victory at the Texas Championship, alongside wins at the Minnesota Masters and the Geoffrey Parker Super Jackpot events. The pinnacle of his success came in 2022, as he clinched the Backgammon World Championship DMP title and added another triumph at the Texas Longhorn Masters. Seewald’s unwavering prowess carried him to the finals of the LV Championship and a triumphant finish at the CA State Masters in 2023, solidifying his status as a true luminary of the game. 

Beyond his prowess on the board, Seewald is revered as a backgammon coach, known for his pattern recognition approach that requires minimal mathematical computation.
